This 90 minute presentation will discuss fundamentals of body image in eating disorder recovery. Roadblocks and strategies in the management body image will be explored and specific interventions to apply in individual and group therapy will also be reviewed.

Clinical Director @Clementine, a Monte Nido Affiliate
Dr. Bertha Tavarez is a licensed clinical psychologist and has served as clinical director of Clementine, a Monte Nido Affiliate for the treatment of adolescent with eating disorders since 2014. She specializes in experiential approaches in eating disorder recovery. Prior to her work with MN&A, her clinical focus has been on health psychology, and she provided clinical services to adults and adolescents in hospital settings, assisted living facilities, and outpatient level of care. Dr. Tavarez also specializes in Multicultural psychology and has participated in clinical research, interventions, and presentations in various countries in Latin America.
Jacqueline Pablos, M.S., Psy.D.
Post-Doctoral Fellow @Clementine, a Monte Nido Affiliate
Dr. Jacqueline Pablos is a Post-Doctoral Fellow and has served as Family Therapist of Clementine, a Monte Nido Affiliate for the treatment of adolescent with eating disorders since 2020. Since December 2022, she now serves as Assistant Clinical Director and Family Therapist of Clementine, Palmetto Bay. Prior to her work with MN&A, she worked in several medical facilities, hospitals, privates practices, and university counseling centers, specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults with co-occurring mental and physical health disorders.
