Georgia’s workers and employers have been impacted by a historic economic crisis that has wiped out many employment gains achieved since the Great Recession. With state and federal investments in workforce training and supportive services dwindling in recent years, Georgians most vulnerable to layoffs have been set back significantly.
Employers, workforce development professionals and educators, and workers themselves must come together to advocate for public policies that guarantee an equitable economic recovery in the years to come. Please join two coalitions that bring these groups and individuals together – Business Leaders United (BLU) and PROSPER Georgia – for a webinar revealing a shared plan to strengthen Georgia’s workforce in the recovery period and opportunities to support the plan at the local, state and federal level.
During the webinar, attendees will:
• Become familiar with both coalitions and their advocacy activities in the state of Georgia
• Learn about the workforce-related data and policy recommendations guiding the coalitions’ work in the coming year
• Explore opportunities to get directly involved in actions that can inform Georgia’s economic recovery
