FPA Rules Interpretations For Elementary Processes

The Elementary Process (EP) is one of the most important concepts in Function Point Analysis, as incorrect interpretation and misapplication of the rules can dramatically alter the results of the function point count. One challenge FP analysts face nowadays is to determine whether a function or set of related functions constitute a unique elementary process or many. While the EP identification rules defined by the Counting Practices Manual are rather simple rules, in many cases FP analysts find it difficult to apply in practice.
This webinar, based on the recent white paper published by IFPUG, provides the FP analysts further guidance in the interpretation and application of the “Elementary Processes identification rules”
