During the first nine months of 2020, investment-grade corporate debt offerings targeted to the US marketplace totaled US$1.6 trillion, a 71% increase compared to 2019 levels and the strongest first nine months on record. Meanwhile, high yield offerings from issuers in the United States increased 78% compared to the first nine months of 2019 and accounted for 66% of overall 2020 activity, up from 51% a year ago.
