So many different profits. What could they all mean?

Finance is a subject that often confuses with all its fancy terminology. So we'd like to run a session purely on profit and what they all mean. Here are some questions for you to ponder over:

• Why are there so many different types of profits and what could they all mean?
• If a gross profit doesn't consider all a company's costs, then what's the point of it?
• What is EBITDA?
