Public Hearing for EGLE National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, Arbor Preserve Wastewater Treatment Plant; Lodi Township, Washtenaw County
Red Equities, LLC, 201 West Big Beaver Road, Suite 1050, Troy, MI 48084, has applied to EGLE for a permit in compliance with the provisions of the federal Clean Water Act (federal Water Pollution Control Act, 33 U.S.C., Section 1251 et seq., as amended); Part 31, Water Resources Protection, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (NREPA); Part 41, Sewerage Systems, of the NREPA; and Michigan Executive Order 2019-06. The applicant proposes to collect sewage from the Arbor Preserve development and discharge treated municipal wastewater to an unnamed tributary to Rouse Drain from the Arbor Preserve Wastewater Treatment Plant. Arbor Preserve is a proposed condominium development consisting of 434 attached single family homes located northeast of the intersection of West Waters Road and South Wagner Road in Lodi Township, Washtenaw County. This public hearing is being held virtually per Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners Resolution.
The purpose of this meeting is to give community members an opportunity to ask questions and provide public comment to be recorded as part of the public record. The meeting will be split into two parts: a brief presentation on the proposed permit followed by a question-and-answer session, and a formal public hearing during which community members are encouraged to provide EGLE staff their formal comments. EGLE will evaluate all comments before making a final decision on the permit application.
