You may register to attend at any time up to January 15, 2025, at 11:30a.m. EST. In December 2024, EPA finalized a ban on many uses of perchloroethylene (PCE), a chemical known to cause liver, kidney, brain and testicular cancer, as well as damage to the kidney, liver, and immune system, neurotoxicity, and reproductive toxicity. Today’s final rule will protect people from these risks by banning manufacture, processing, and distribution in commerce of PCE for all consumer uses and many commercial uses, while allowing a number of workplace uses to continue where robust workplace controls can be implemented.
