Increased demand from consumers and investors for responsible business behavior is leading to vast changes in the regulatory environment. Today, responsible, rights-respecting companies are making efforts to mitigate human rights risks in their business operations and supply chains by adopting Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) processes as outlined by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Yet, practical training materials remain out of reach for many companies, especially for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
In response to these challenges, UNDP B+HR Asia in partnership with the European Union, will launch the HRDD Training Facilitation Guide and Self-Assessment Training Tool on 16 September 2021. Alongside collaborating partners, Clifford Chance and Global Compact Network Thailand, speakers will outline trends in HRDD practice, detail the special features of the HRDD training guide, and explore private sector experiences in implementing HRDD processes.
The HRDD Training Facilitation Guide will be made available to participants at the event.
