Chris Peterson
Chris Peterson is a husband, a father, and an educator. Don’t ask him what he teaches because his response is always “young people”. Chris has had the fortune of graduating twice from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse; receiving a BS in Health and Physical Education and an MS in PE with an Adventure Education emphasis. Here he had countless opportunities to work with great educators from all over the state. He’s been blessed with a number of opportunities to work with parents, students and educators all around the state, leading workshops on refusal skills, classroom management and discipline, and anti-bullying programs. He had the fortune to work with Jim and Charles Fay while completing his independent facilitator training for Becoming a Love and Logic Parent. Chris has worked with the parents, teachers and students at large and small schools. Chris is excited to teach, excited to learn, living his motto, "Health is everything, but everything is nothing without it"
Lisa McCormick
Parent, Public Speaker
Lisa speaks on the topics of sex trafficking, drug addiction, bullying, acceptance, and her faith throughout her personal journey as a parent of a sex trafficking victim. She educates groups to encourage them to know for the signs of at risk youth, to not be afraid to talk to them and show them you care, and to give them someone to trust. Jeffrey McCormick, Lisa’s son, was a 17 year old boy from rural Wisconsin recruited into a sex trafficking ring out of Madison and exploited until his death in September, 2016. Lisa has made it her life’s purpose to share her family’s story so others understand trafficking and how easily our vulnerable children can get caught up in it. Lisa walks alongside parents, grandparents, caregivers and all others, giving hope that they are not alone in this journey. Lisa is a member of the Wisconsin Anti Human Trafficking Advisory Council and is featured in the WI Dept. of Children and Families documentary film on youth sex trafficking.
