The Basics of Lidar
Lidar (light detection and ranging) is a laser-based remote sensing technology. From airborne or ground based platforms, it can be used to collect information about features on the surface of the Earth or in the atmosphere. These data can be used to create three dimensional representations and provide precise location.

This presentation will go over how Lidar works, and real-world research applications being conducted by the Selkirk Geospatial Research Centre (SGRC).
