Friend of Marina Registration for BOTH TIMES for the Scary Stories presentation -- 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Eastern
On Friday, October 29, our Halloween event will give your students pumpkin to talk about! AND pumpkin to read!

We’re not even going to ask forgiveness for using that terrible Halloween pun. Because what you can expect is a delightfully campy mixture of scariness and poking fun at scariness with three amazing authors who have written a combined total of 47 scary-licious books — a perfect blend for a fun literacy event on the last Friday before Halloween.

And let’s face it, don’t we all want a boost to send students to the library AND an hour of sitting back as a teacher on the one day of the year where you know your students are going to be squirrely with pre-Howl-o-ween buzz? (You loved that pun, too right?)

Hosted by authors Eric Walters and Sigmund Brouwer, Scary Stories features me along with Jeff Szpirglas and Joel A. Sutherland who tell amazingly, yup, Scary Stories. It's a one-hour live virtual presentation for grades 4-9 that includes engaging with the authors through the chat box and q&a session. (Our presentation format is very safe and secure.)

For as much flexibility as possible, teachers have the choice of joining the live virtual session at 11:00 a.m. or 1 p.m. Eastern on Friday, October 29.

The registration fee for all classrooms and students in a school is normally $175, or as a single class for $75. However, Eric and Sigmund and would be delighted to invite you to join for $125 as a school, or $50 as a classroom.

When you register, you will receive a confirmation email, but please ignore the registration link -- two days before the event, you will get zoom links for each of the two presentations. Teachers can broadcast the event from the smart board or individual devices in the classroom and/or share the links with at-home students. For schools, if you are unable to make the live event, or is some teachers or students miss the event, we provide a limited time use recording after the event.

Thanks!
