All of a sudden, you have found yourself at home and not in a classroom. You are not alone. All over the world, students of all educational levels are trying to cope with a new reality: studying remotely, studying online, studying alone. You may feel that a switch to online learning isn’t an ideal solution for you, but institutions all over the world are looking to online learning to salvage students’ education in these extraordinary conditions.
This new reality makes even more relevant a number of skills that were always part of academic success, but are key today; skills such as self discipline, self motivation, time management. This may sound intimidating, but it is also an opportunity to gain control over your own learning. You may learn at a different pace than others, or maybe you are not the morning type. All learners are different, and online learning allows you far more flexibility to accommodate your own learning style.
In this live workshop, we will discuss each other’s difficulties when it comes to working alone, and we will share tips and techniques to overcome them. At the same time, we will consider a set of strategies that can help you create a study-friendly environment and daily routine, from choosing your own quiet space, to selecting the best hour in the day to do the studying, and how to actually do the studying. And of course we will explore the many possibilities to accommodate your own learning needs!
