Patty Cason, MSN, FNP-BC, President, Envision SRH
Michael Policar, MD, MPH, Professor Emeritus, University of California, San Francisco
Levi S. Downs, Jr, MD, MS, Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Park Nicollett Health Services in Minneapolis, MN.

Webinar Overview:
Cervical cancer and many other anogenital and head and neck cancers are caused by high-risk strains of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). During this webinar instructors will provide clear, evidence-based explanations for perplexing issues and questions about HPV. We will be joined for this session by Dr. Levi Downs, a prominent GYN Oncologist, who will review epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, and management of HPV-related cancers. He will share advice for effective referral of people found to have invasive genital cancers, or those with pre-invasive lesions that present diagnostic or management dilemmas, and respond to your tough questions. Dr. Downs will focus a critical lens on the poignant disparities between various populations in the US regarding diagnosis and mortality with HPV-related cancers. This session discusses the natural history of HPV, genotypes, and immunization efficacy in reducing genital and head and neck cancers. Additional clinical content includes clarification about emerging recommendations for HPV-based cervical cancer screening. And no presentation about HPV would be complete without a discussion of diagnosis and management of genital warts.
