Navigating Scoliosis: Bridging the Information Gap Between Families & Health Care Practitioners

Follow Dr. Derek Lee's attempt at navigating scoliosis treatment for his son from diagnosis to bracing to PSSE and chiropractic to eventual vertebral body tethering (VBT) non-fusion scoliosis surgery. Dr. Lee reviews the steps he followed to filter through scoliosis misinformation to find treatment consensus. These steps included reaching out to top orthotists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and spine surgeons from around the world in search of accurate scoliosis treatment information. Dr. Lee then created his "Scoliosis Spine Surgeon Interviews" YouTube channel to curate long format interviews from these expert scoliosis health care practitioners to share and educate families and parents affected by scoliosis. To further bridge the scoliosis information gap, Dr. Lee launched his "Navigating Scoliosis" Facebook group to connect families directly with scoliosis healthcare practitioners.
