Our HR and Compliance teams are presenting a new webinar to help businesses as they begin to open up or get back to normal as we follow the government’s roadmap out of lockdown. We’re now all familiar with the government guidance around working safely and social distancing, but there are so many more risks and issues within the workplace that may need to be tackled over the coming weeks and months – many of which may not be front of mind, but are an important part of keeping your employees and your business safe.
From an HR point of view, there are new issues to consider, such as what to do if employees refuse to come back to the workplace, a review of the Governments work from home guidance, and your options around testing and vaccinations. The furlough scheme will also be discussed, including bringing employees back from furlough.
Our Compliance team will cover all of those things that need considering that you may not have thought about, such as ensuring water systems that haven’t been in use are not a source of legionella bacteria, checking fire safety arrangements are all up to date, such as fire extinguisher servicing and fire risk assessment (if your business infrastructure has changed in any way during the pandemic, is any FRA you have still valid?). What about electrical safety? And to help in the continued fight against COVID, it’s important to consider workplace ventilation systems as well as deep cleaning.
There will be opportunities to ask questions during and after the webinar, and a follow up PDF of the key questions asked will be supplied to all attendees.
