How to College: Building Critical "Adulting" Skills in High School
Nothing in the college admissions process prepares high school graduates for the changes they will face as they transition from high school to living independently in college.

Educational Connections Founder Ann Dolin, M.Ed. is pleased to invite you to an important conversation with College Transition Educator, Andrea M. Brenner, Ph.D., co-author of How to College: What to Know Before You Go (and When You’re There).

During this workshop, parents will learn the complete list of critical life skills students should master before leaving home for college (and tricks for teaching these skills to your K-12 graders).

Dr. Brenner and Educational Connections Founder Ann Dolin, M.Ed. will discuss:

✓ Handling stress without the “scaffolding” of home

✓ Time management when there’s so much unregulated time

✓ Budgeting and money management

✓ Student self advocacy for academics and mental health

If your child struggles with executive function skills, this workshop if you!

Please register in advance so we may send you the workshop link (or the replay video). We can't wait to see you there!

Ann Dolin, M.Ed.
Founder and President @Educational Connections
As a mom and former public school teacher, Ann Dolin knows how stressful it can be to support a child throughout their academic journey. For nearly 30 years, she has helped families reduce that stress— first as a teacher, then as the founder of Educational Connections. What started as one-hour of tutoring at her kitchen table has grown into a team of more than 100 subject tutors, test prep tutors, college consultants, and executive function coaches. They now work virtually, one-on-one, to help students overcome academic obstacles and reach goals. Ann is also an award-winning author. As an education expert, she is regularly called upon to speak to schools and organizations about ways families can enhance their child’s school experience by providing the supports necessary to improve grades, test scores, manage executive function issues, choose appropriate extracurriculars, and provide a roadmap to the college of their dreams.
