VoCA Talk: Daniela Rivera
Description
VoCA Talks is a series of public programs featuring artists and their collaborators in conversation about the challenges and rewards inherent in making, showing, and preserving contemporary art. This virtual event, hosted in partnership with Boston Center for the Arts, will feature a live conversation with artist Daniela Rivera and curator Leah Triplett Harrington, moderated by Narayan Khandekar, to be followed by the video premier of the previously recorded VoCA Talk. In Rivera's interdisciplinary practice, she engages not only her own body but also others, to consider place and presence. Suggesting that drawing is the connective tissue of her work, this Talk explores how Rivera's practice relates to the body and, therefore, themes of vulnerability, visibility, and materiality.
