At the center of Wiki Education’s work are the thousands of postsecondary students across the United States and Canada we support each term. Tasked with improving Wikipedia as part of their coursework but often new to editing, the students work through Wiki Education’s series of trainings and exercises to successfully contribute to thousands of articles across disciplines, filling in some of Wikipedia’s knowledge equity gaps and improving historically underrepresented topic areas. In this panel, four students will share reflections from their Wikipedia assignments, including their perspectives on learning to edit WIkipedia, create public-facing scholarship, and contribute to the largest, most read encyclopedia in the world.
