Jackie Namara Rukare (Representative @African Social Marketing Association)
Based in Uganda, with a 19-year career in marketing, communications, public relations and management spanning fast moving consumer goods, beverages, telecommunications and financial services industries, Jackie is the Co-Founder of sugarCUBES, a support group for children and families living with childhood diabetes. Jackie is fascinated about how brands influence our lives and how they can be used as tools for supporting sustainable business. She is interested in health marketing and communication as a means of educating communities for lasting behavioral change especially in regard to diabetes in children and as a tool for health advocacy.

She is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, has board experience in social marketing and social entrepreneurship sitting on the boards of the Uganda Health Marketing Group and Capital Solutions Ltd.
