Managing Frustration, Anxiety and Meltdowns in the New Normal- Jed Baker
Individuals with social-behavioral challenges often present with difficulty regulating their feelings and interacting socially. Changes to routine imposed by Covid often present particular problems for such individuals. This webinar describes how to handle restricted activities, remote learning, and altered school routines. It also covers how to deal with meltdowns and design effective behavior plans to prevent frustration and manage anxiety. The second part of the presentation details strategies to motivate individuals to learn, ways to teach social skills, how to generalize skills into the natural setting and increase acceptance and tolerance from peers. Information will be imparted through lecture, interactive exercises, and video clips.
