Dmitrijs spent 6 years in Norway for his BBA and MsC in Financial Economics from the BI Norwegian School of Management. He then moved back to Latvia and went on to have a career in a number of banks in positions of Chief risk officer, Portfolio manager, and Head of asset management. Nikolajs holds a master’s degree in Social Sciences (with distinction) from the Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration, as well as CFA and CAIA charters. He spent 5 years in active army duty, rising through the ranks to become the infantry company commander with direct supervision over 120 men during two tours in Iraq. He then moved on to the banking/asset management industry and was Head of investment risk for the asset management division of Swedbank Baltics and Head of asset and liabilities management for the group treasury of Citadele Banka.
