Michael Bray
Associate Director for Dissemination and Technology @Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI)
Michael Bray is an instructional designer, researcher, and data analyst that has worked in the developmental disability field since 2003. He is currently the Associate Director for Dissemination and Technology at the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI) at Wayne State University. His primary area of interest lies in the design and implementation of inclusive, accessible learning environments that enable diverse adult learners to develop new skills and knowledge. Michael has been the MI-LEND Training Director since 2017. Michigan Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (MI-LEND) is an interdisciplinary leadership training program, funded under the Autism Collaboration, Accountability, Research, Education, and Support (CARES) Act, and administered by the Health Resources and Service's Administration's (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). Owner @U 2 Can Learn
Douglas Tibbs retired special educational teacher. He is the owner of U 2 Can Learn. He studied special education and therapeutic recreation. He continues to present nationally and locally focusing on assistive technology, home modification, education, emergency preparedness and adaptive sports. He designs low tech items that are used for communication. He holds a copy right on specialty paper for writing and math.
Scott DeVarona
Program Director @MI Able Disability Savings Program
Scott was named Division Director in August 2015 and continues to serve as the MiABLE Director within the Student Financial Services Bureau. Scott oversees the Michigan Guaranty Agency and the State Student Loan Programs Office in addition to the MiABLE 529 (a) Program. Scott has worked for the State for 17 years in various positions within the Departments of Treasury & Health & Human Services. Scott holds a BA in Business Administration from Northwood University and an MBA from the De Vos Graduate School of Management. Scott lives in Grand Ledge Michigan with his wife (Jami) and 2 children.
