Slow Food Live: Immigrant Farm and Food Chain Workers
*español abajo*
Our food chain, from field and sea to plate, depends on the labor of immigrants, many of whom are undocumented. The SFUSA Food and Farm Policy Steering Committee is dedicated to engaging our communities in critical policies affecting our food chain via virtual, moderated discussions among informed panelists. Our next panel will focus on our essential immigrant farm and food chain workers, and the public policies affecting them and their families, and the farmers, ranchers, and processors who rely on their labors. The goal is to examine the equity and efficacy of past and proposed policies and the advocacy actions SFUSA supporters might take in support of the immigrant workers who feed us.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 15 at 2 pm ET as we listen to crucial perspectives from:
Ximena Bustillo, Agriculture and Food Policy reporter and author of Morning Agriculture for POLITICO
David Runsten, Policy Director of the Community Alliance with Family Farmers
María De Luna, National Policy and Advocacy Coordinator (ella/she/her) of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas
Mily Trevino Sauceda, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas
Special Guest, an undocumented immigrant Campesina
Michael Marsh, President And CEO, National Council Of Agricultural Employers (NCAE)
