Are you driving whilst impaired?
FREE webinar hosted on ZOOM by the Older Drivers Forum so you can take part from home. Impairment, when related to driving, often refers to drink, drugs or a medical condition.
However, we all drive in an impaired fashion from time to time whether it be through tiredness, stress, distraction or just because we have become complacent.
Auto pilot is a phrase which many people relate to as having completed a journey with no conscious memory of it. This is because much of our driving is controlled from the sub conscious mind. But it’s usually the conscious mind that determines whether we avoid a crash or not.
This webinar will look at all the factors which may impair our driving decisions and offers solutions to ensure we keep the risk of a road traffic collision as low as possible.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions to all the speakers on a Q&A section. The webinar will last for 75 minutes. Please register below to get your link to join the webinar. You DO NOT need a zoom account to join. We can't wait for you to join this event!

Rob has previously been in the Police Force for 30 years, being part of the Roads Policing department for 27 years. He is a member of the National Older Drivers Task Force and co-author of the recent Task Force report published as a national strategy to the UK government in November 2021 to give help and support to older drivers to carry on driving safely for longer with some key recommendations. Rob has won numerous national awards for his work with Older Drivers and has been awarded a lifetime achievement award from Road Safety Support. He now works as a Road Safety Consultant, specialising in Older Drivers and is a Driver Awareness Trainer.
