As we roll into Autumn, the days get shorter, temperatures drop and many humans begin to hibernate, or just lose their get up and go! Known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), no one knows for sure if our senior dogs are experiencing the same moodiness, since we share much of the same brain chemistry, or if they are mimicking our emotions and lethargy. Regardless, dogs may not be getting as much outdoor time, and even an older canine needs his exercise. Denise Fleck (aka The Pet Safety Crusader) and Grey Muzzle's Board President will discuss ways to engage pets during the darker days and prevent them from becoming four-legged couch potatoes! Diet, exercise, lighting, safety and protective gear will all be discussed.
