National Rural Health Day; HRSA National Shortage Designation Update
Please join the Kansas Office of Primary Care and Rural Health for the latest webinar in the Navigating Rural Health Resources series!

When: Tuesday, October 12, 2021, 12:30-1:30 PM CDT

This webinar will highlight information and resources about:

-National Rural Health Day 2021
-Fall 2021 HRSA National Shortage Designation Update

Each year, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) sets aside the third Thursday of every November – November 18, 2021 – to celebrate National Rural Health Day. First and foremost, National Rural Health Day is an opportunity to “Celebrate the Power of Rural” by honoring the selfless, community-minded, “can do” spirit that prevails in rural America. But it also gives us a chance to bring to light the unique healthcare challenges that rural people and communities face – and showcase the efforts of rural healthcare providers, State Offices of Rural Health, and other rural stakeholders to address those challenges.

As part of the Shortage Designation Modernization Project, all applicable county-level and facility-level Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations will be reviewed during HRSA's National Shortage Designation Update, planned to take place in late September 2021.
