Dr. Carlos Quinonez - Speaker
Fellow in Dental Public Health @The Royal College of Dentists of Canada
Carlos Quiñonez is a dental public health specialist, and is currently an associate professor and the director of the specialty training program in dental public health at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Carlos’ research centres on the politics and economics of dentistry, with a focus on health and social equity.
Dr. Sonica Singhal - Speaker
Fellow in Dental Public Health @The Royal College of Dentists of Canada
Dr. Sonica Singhal obtained her Bachelors of Dental Surgery degree from Delhi University, India. She did Masters in Public Health from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a combined specialty in Dental Public Health and PhD from the University of Toronto. Currently, she is working for Public Health Ontario as a Public Health Dentist. In this role, she is responsible for providing scientific analysis and expert consultative services to the Ministry of Health, Medical Officers of Health, administrative and front-line staff of public health units and other health organizations across the province. She is also appointed as Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, where she is involved in teaching and research.
Dr. Brenton Winnett - Moderator
Fellow in Prosthodontics @The Royal College of Dentists of Canada
Dr. Brenton Winnett is an alumnus of the University of Waterloo, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Toronto. After 18 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces – the last five of which in the role of Regional Prosthodontist for Ontario – Dr. Winnett joined Vancouver Island Prosthodontics in Victoria, BC, and Par-La-Ville Dental in Hamilton, Bermuda. Dr. Winnett is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, an Examiner in Prosthodontics, and is the Past President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada.
