With the rapid changes regarding COVID-19, it can be difficult to stay up to date with all that is happening in our islands. The Hawai‘i Public Health Institute (HIPHI) will be offering a series of webinars on the impact of COVID-19 on our communities.
Our webinar will offer participants a practical guide on the latest information on prevention and management of the Coronavirus and its effect on the public health. Join youth leaders in this webinar to learn how they are working to create a more just society and the role they see youth playing in shaping Hawai’i’s future. Facilitating the July 8th event is Josh Ching, Kamehameha Schools Junior, and member of HIPHI’s Youth Council Leadership Team. He will be joined by Kawika Pegram, Waipahu HS Senior and Executive Director for The Hawaii Youth Climate Coalition, Nikkya Taliaferro, Moanalua HS Senior, one of the organizers of the recent Hawaii for Black Lives march, and Joseph Newmann, Seattle University Junior and advocate working on Resolution 19-329 to establish a Youth Commission for the City and County of Honolulu.
