Native and Natural Area Management w/ Steve McDonald
Steve graduated with a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland (UM) where he studied and worked with Dr. Peter Dernoeden and Dr. John Kaminski (currently a professor at Penn State). While at UM, Steve worked for three years in the Turfgrass Disease Diagnostic lab which received hundreds of samples per year. He was involved in over 40 research trials, during the three years there, working extensively with dollar spot, gray leaf spot and herbicides, and plant growth regulators for the management of Poa Annua in cool-season turf. Other projects dealt with: bio-stimulants, fertilizers, fungicide combinations, herbicides, cultural practices, and turfgrass safety.

Steve has been visiting more than 225 golf courses annually for over 10 years as an agronomic consultant. In that time, Steve has been involved with more than 1,800 different protocols for various fertilizers and plant protection materials.

In this webinar, Steve will provide insights and programs for managing weeds and insect pests in native and natural areas.
