Increasing Diversity in STEM
Over the next decade, the U.S. will need one million more STEM professionals to meet the market demand. However, there is a large and persistent underrepresentation of certain social groups that represents a loss of talent. To build our future economy and a more equitable workforce, we must address our shortage of STEM talent at both the middle-skills and advanced levels. In this session, students will engage in a critical conversation on the importance of STEM engagement with an equity lens, critical barriers, and how it can be achieved.
