Climate Action: Mountain Lions and a Changing World
As seasons change, we continue to witness the impacts of climate change throughout the United States and around the world, from mega-fires and extreme drought to major storms and flooding events. People are increasingly having to respond and adapt to these climate impacts, it is important to remember that wildlife must do the same. Wildlife species are experiencing major changes to their habitats and home ranges, and these changes have implications for how we interact with and go about protecting these species.

Join Wild Bear and the Mountain Lion Foundation for a hybrid in-person/webinar presentation led by Conservation Advocate, Logan Christian from the Mountain Lion Foundation.

Logan’s presentation will highlight some of the major climate impacts we are seeing in the Western US, how wildlife, including mountain lions, are responding, and implications for preventing human-wildlife conflict and supporting wildlife conservation. After the presentation, Logan will hold an outdoor demonstration on how to stay safe in mountain lion country for in-person event participants.

Oct 17, 2021 01:00 PM in Mountain Time (US and Canada)
