A Call to Action with Sen. Sherrod Brown, Randi Weingarten & Lily Eskelsen Garcia in making our democracy work for working families
Democracy for All 2021 is thrilled to invite you to a conversation with Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers, and Lily Eskelsen Garcia, President of the National Education Association, on why we must make our democracy work for all workers and their families in November and in the future.

The bungled response to COVID-19 has shown the callousness with which this administration treats frontline workers who keep our country going in these difficult times. Our government has spread dangerous misinformation about the virus, failed to secure or distribute PPE, stalled needed relief packages for struggling families, and provided neither guidance nor essential resources for our children to return to school safely.

This disregard for everyday people isn’t new: for years, corporate special interests have done everything in their power to undermine workers and the unions that represent us. Anti-democratic entities have funded harmful court cases, undermined our voice at work, funded campaigns to restrict our voting rights, and enjoyed massive tax cuts at the expense of the essential public services like emergency response, healthcare, public education that keep our communities safe and livable.

As we approach the most consequential election in our lifetime, we must ensure all working families have their voices heard.

Join in on the action to protect our elections and workers this year and organize for critical reforms to unrig our political system, from the HEROES Act and HR 1 to the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act and the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act.

Hope you’ll join us!
