NGOs are under pressure and in crises. That’s a good thing! We all work hard every day because we know that for our fellow humans and the planet there simply is no alternative but to succeed. Failure to achieve the SDGs, or to advance our NGOs mandate, is not an option.
But for NGOs to not only survive but thrive, we need to change the way we are funded and improve the way we work. We need to manage our organizations better, be more agile, and need to diversify funding to make them more robust.
In this short learning session, we look back at 10 years of transforming non-profits into agile and better-funded change makers. We identify five essential attributes that made some MzN partners successful and thrive through the Covid-19 crisis. We look ahead to see what leaders can do now to create organizations that deliver profound impact and advance in a disrupted world.
