Sustainable Winegrowing Australia update
Sustainable Winegrowing Australia is Australia’s national program for grapegrowers and winemakers to demonstrate and continuously improve their sustainability in the vineyard and winery through the environmental, social and economic aspects of their businesses. This webinar will provide an overview of the program including membership requirements, certification and use of the new Sustainable Winegrowing Australia trust mark.

Dr Mardi Longbottom
Senior Viticulturist @The Australian Wine Research Institute
Dr Mardi Longbottom began her career in the wine industry helping to establish her family’s vineyards in Padthaway, South Australia in the early 1990s. She holds undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in viticulture from the University of Adelaide and has extensive technical and vineyard management experience in Australia and the USA. For the past twelve years, Mardi has focused on research and extension of grape and wine industry sustainability projects including the management of corporate water assets, climate risk analyses and benchmarking greenhouse gas emissions from vineyards.  In her role as Senior Viticulturist at the AWRI she manages the Australian wine industry’s sustainability program, Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
