EM Monthly March 2023: Ultrasound in PICU/PED
Description
Welcome to EM Monthly March 2023 to learn about Ultrasound in PICU/PED.
The session is moderated by Dr Niccolò Parri, and include the following presentations:
- US guided difficult vascular access in PICU/PED - Dr Alessandra Mazza and Dr Antuan Divisic
- Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) in the PICU/PED - Dr Annamaria Deganello
The learning objectives for this webinar are:
• To learn an early identification of infants and children with difficult peripheral venous access and a use of ultrasound for the placement of vascular access device in this category of patients.
• To get insights in a systematic approach and a real-time guided ultrasound for difficult vascular access in all paediatric ages for improving insertion success rates and reducing times and complications - also in a emergency-urgency setting.
• To understand the main indications of CEUS in trauma and as a problem-solving tool in paediatrics.
