Effective ESOL instruction is differentiated instruction. The challenges and scaffolds we provide in our lessons mirror the needs of the ESOL learners in our classes. Sometimes these decisions are made on the spot and other times they’re baked into our lesson design based on what we know about our class. This Webinar addresses the myth that differentiation means planning multiple lessons and shows the role our teaching skills play in the differentiation process. We’ll also explore how certain task types, instructional strategies, and digital tools can help make the differentiation process routine for you and your learners.
