She was recognized by the Greater Charleston YWCA as the 2022 Education Leader for What Women Bring and was highlighted by Teach for America SC during their 10th Year Anniversary as an Impact Leader. A proud Mechanical Engineering graduate of Florida A&M University, Audrey also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University in Chicago, IL, and is a 2010 graduate of the Broad Residency for Urban Education. Although she is extremely dedicated and focused on her work that she’s been blessed to do-her greatest joy comes from being a wife, partner, and friend to Martin and the mother of Moses and Micah. Antwan Polite (Prevention and Intervention Facilitator @Department of Alternative Programs and Services - Charleston County School District) Antawn Polite received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology from The Citadel and a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Webster University. He is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor and has his private practice. In addition to having his private practice he works at Medical University and the Charleston County School District. He is a Prevention and Intervention Facilitator for The Department of Alternative Programs and Services in Charleston County School District and a Clinical Counselor at The Medical University of South Carolina. His professional interests focus on Behavioral Therapy and his current interests include incorporating Restorative Practices to his therapy groups. He has a licensure in Environmental Services as a Water Treatment Operator to add to his professional achievements. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma and Alpha Phi Omega and awarded as a Meritorious Instructor for Crisis Prevention and Intervention. In his leisure time he spends his time reading, Jaquinda Jackson, Ed.D. Dr. JaQuinda Jackson Ed.D, NCC, LPC is a trauma informed therapist in private practice in South Carolina. Dr. Jackson offers virtual healing groups for helping professionals in order to increase positive emotional health while working to decrease emotional distress. Dr. Jackson has curated a personal burnout assessment that helping professionals are able to utilize in order to assess personal emotional health daily. Elah Hudson (Coordinator of School Counseling Services @Charleston County School District) A native of Mt. Pleasant, she is a 2002 graduate of Wando High School. After high school, she attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology in 2006. She obtained her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Clemson University in 2009. Prior to her current position, Elah was a school counselor at Laing Middle School in Mt. Pleasant for 8 years. She finds excitement in working with students, especially middle school students, and helping guide them socially and academically. Jameshia Means Jameshia has served in a number of roles including middle school ELA teacher, School Counselor, Mental Health Clinician with Department of Mental Health, People Against Rape Crisis Center Victim Advocate and Education Coordinator and currently School Psychologist. Through her work in various realms, Jameshia has come to respect and acknowledge the complexity of individual students. She seeks to provide support to her community through community outreach, mental health awareness, consistent advocacy and consistently educating her community. Jameshia has a passion for social justice and action and serves on various initiatives across the district to encourage and promote equity in education. In her spare time, Jameshia has also served as a dance coach for many years at the Cannon Street YMCA, Burke High School and Royal Missionary Baptist Church. Jameshia is also a proud mother to a rising 3rd grade student and is a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Katrina Bell, LPCS (Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor ) A native of Charleston, SC, Katrina grew up in the Red Top community. She has a B.S. in Sociology/Health from the College of Charleston, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Webster University, and a specialty Master’s Degree in Gerontology (Elderly Aging). She has been a counselor since 2005 and spent most of her career working in the educational system in Charleston, SC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of SC. Mrs. Bell enjoys working with teenagers, women and young adults, but also works with couples. She has experience helping with General Life Issues, Transitions, Anxiety, Depression and Bipolar Disorders as well. She is also a LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist. She is a member of the Lambda Nu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the Summerville/Ridgeville area. She resides in North Charleston with her husband their 7-year-old daughter and their dog. Tasha Joyner (Project Prevent Grant Officer on Mental Health, Academic, and Behavioral Support @Charleston County School District) A proud alumna of South Carolina State University, Tasha received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2003. Her teaching career began with Charleston County School District (CCSD) at Minnie Hughes Elementary. During the Summer of 2004, she transitioned to Morningside Middle School, where she gained most of her instructional and leadership experiences. In 2008, Mrs. Joyner earned her Master's in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: Literacy Specialization from Lesley University. During the Summer of 2012, she transitioned to CCSD's Secondary Learning Community as a Title One Instructional Coach. Mrs. Joyner joined the Department of Alternative Programs and Services in 2017 as a Climate Coach. In that capacity, she had the opportunity to continue her coaching and mentoring of school-based staff in the areas of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Social-Emotional Learning, and student and adult Mental Wellness.
