Future Fuel production economic modelling
There are many production processes for hydrogen and other future fuels, differing in their production routes, emissions profiles, energy and chemical efficiency, dynamic behaviour, appropriateness of scale and economic viability.
The project team have modelled these technologies using consistent economic process to provide:
- Detailed assessment of the economic performance of these processes based on bottom-up process flowsheet modelling,
- Sensitivity analyses to evaluate main production parameters that will influence viable commercialisation of specific technologies,
- Collate engineering data needed to inform operating and capital costs,
- Recommendations for analytical framework to guide R&D project investment, providing a basis for estimating the potential value of research efforts,

To launch the full report we are holding a four session webinar over two days to present Future Fuels CRC through the research outputs:

Monday 13 December 09:30 to 11:00am (AEDT)
Session 1: Conventional Thermochemical processes
Presenters: Tara Hosseini, University of Adelaide, Mojgan Tabatabaei, University of Queensland
Session 2: Emerging Thermochemical processes
Presenters: Tara Hosseini, University of Adelaide, Mojgan Tabatabaei, University of Queensland

Tuesday 14 December 09:30 to 11:00am (AEDT)
Session 3: Green hydrogen from electrolysis and hydrogen carriers
Presenter: Colin Scholes, University of Melbourne
Session 4: Future works and recommendations for further research

Presenters: Tara Hosseini, University of Adelaide, Mojgan Tabatabaei, University of Queensland, Simon Smart, University of Queensland

The sessions will also be recorded and available for viewing in the secure Members’ Area of the Future Fuels CRC website.
