We want to hear from you.
The City of Ottawa has been reviewing options in the past several months to redefine our ward boundaries to accommodate the growing population and their needs.
Public engagement is a large part of this review. Round 1 was conducted from March 4th thru April 3rd.
On July 15th, Council received the Options Report which includes input received during Round 1 of the consultation from members of the public, Members of Council and key stakeholders, as well as research and analysis. The Options Report included five options for new ward boundaries.
At the July 15 meeting, Council requested the development of a sixth ward boundary option, based on certain criteria.
Round 2 of virtual consultations and meetings are currently underway, residents citywide are again invited to participate as well via Engage.Ottawa.ca or email@example.com.
Community Associations, like those of College Ward, present an opportunity to reach out to residents more directly and offer an alternative way to share ward specific options. The full options report and supporting documents can be found on Ottawa.ca however we would like to share a condensed look at all 6 options for discussion.
The last major review was in 2004-2005, about 15 years ago and we can expect that the impact of this review will extend well into the next 15 years.
