Join us for a conversation about the future of financing talent and workforce development. Dr. Angela Jackson, a partner at New Profit and codirector of the Future of Work Grand Challenge, will lend her expertise and moderate the discussion on the future of workforce financing. Guest speakers are Tracy Palandjian, chief executive officer and cofounder of Social Finance, and Jason Tyszko, vice president of the Center for Education and Workforce at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. As leaders in the field, they will discuss new ways of thinking about, investing in, and financing the workforce system so that the value and risks are shared, and workers and learners do not disproportionately carry the burden. Social Finance and the U.S. Chamber Foundation’s Center for Education and Workforce are forging new public-private approaches to finance talent and workforce development in a way that keeps pace with the ever-changing skill needs of the 21st century. The discussion will include guiding principles for new investment strategies, examples of effective public-private models, and a call to action for a new social contract for how skill development is financed.
