What Is Japan Craft Week?
Launched full scale for the first time, Japan Craft Week is “a week for enjoying crafts at the autumn equinox,” coordinated at sites throughout the country.
To mark the opening of the week, a forum will be held featuring 15 distinguished speakers. They will introduce the attractions of Japanese crafts that enchant people around the world—often unnoticed by Japanese themselves—and explore the possibilities for tourism pivoting on craft.
With bilingual interpretation between Japanese and English provided, the forum offers an opportunity to get abreast of the latest trends and views in the world of crafts today.
