C4C is pleased to invite you to a panel session with special guest Senator The Hon Zed Seselja, Minister for International Development and the Pacific.
The Minister will be discussing the role Australia plays in building economic and climate resilience in the Pacific Islands, supporting renewables and mitigating the threats climate change poses to the region.
We will also be joined by:
Paul Burke, Associate Professor and Head of the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at ANU, discussing the AIFFP and Australian investment in capital works and infrastructure, as well as the importance of hydropower in the Solomon Islands and solar in New Guinea
Dani Robertson, International Project Manager at ClimateWorks Australia, discussing Tonga's long-term low emissions development strategy and how such a process can encourage decision makers in the Pacific to strengthen their capacity in long-term thinking and planning.
