Keeping the Lights On: Discussing solutions for energy poverty in Canada
Join us for this timely webinar on energy poverty. Who does it affect? What does it mean in the context of a transition to clean, reliable and affordable electricity? What kinds of solutions are needed to make sure no one is left behind in the transition to clean electricity?

The webinar will feature Runa Das, co-author of the new report Keeping the Lights On: Ensuring energy affordability, equity and access in the transition to clean electricity in Canada. Das will be joined by Abhilash Kantamneni from Efficiency Canada and Brian Gifford from the Affordable Energy Coalition. Stephen Thomas, from the David Suzuki Foundation, will moderate.

Solutions — like free heat pumps and direct supports to people — can be rolled out without delay. Others, like a national strategy to eliminate energy poverty in Canada, will require a shift in policy direction.

This promises to be a lively discussion with creative solutions from people with academic and grassroots experience in confronting energy poverty. Bring your ideas and questions for the 30-minute Q and A session at the end.
