Join us to hear from Jeff Halvorson, Senior Manager, Sustainable Agriculture Partnerships at PepsiCo. Jeff is part of PepsiCo’s Sustainable Agriculture team, tasked with accelerating and scaling efforts to improve the long-term sustainability of our ag supply chains through partnership with non-traditional actors across Latin America and Asia. This involves working with corporate peers/competitors, supplier partners, financial institutions, donors (e.g. USAID, Walton Family Foundation), and the international development community to tackle the systemic issues facing PepsiCo’s farmers and operations that we cannot address on our own.
PepsiCo believes that there is an opportunity to change how the world produces, distributes, consumes, and disposes of foods and beverages in order to tackle the shared challenges we face. It aims to use its scale, reach, and expertise to help build a more sustainable food system; one that can meet human needs for nutrition and enjoyment, and continue to drive economic and social development, without exceeding the natural boundaries of the planet. Addressing risks within its value chain and the wider food system effectively can create new opportunities for competitive advantage and future market growth, while also supporting the communities in which we operate.
