Family-Centered and Culturally Responsive Implementation of Hospital Breastfeeding Care Practices
This is the last webinar part of a 3-part webinar series for California Perinatal Hospitals implementing change related to California Health & Safety Code 123367. Each session offers expert information, showcase of successful hospital practices, facilitated shared learning and state-of-the-art resources.

This series is being provided with funding from the WIC Regional Liaison Program of Alameda County and supported by partners: CMQCC, PAC/LAC, Inland Empire Breastfeeding Coalition and the California Breastfeeding Coalition.

Staff/leadership encouraged to attend: Quality improvement; Supervisory Perinatal/Maternal/LDRP/Newborn/NICU; Lactation Specialist; Safety and Quality; Educators; Outpatient/Ambulatory; Triage.

Objectives for this webinar:
- Identify essential elements of sensitive family-centered and culturally responsive counseling that consider a patient’s social, cultural, and/or health related circumstances.
- Learn how hospitals can work with “Community Liaison” and other strategies to strengthen patient access to appropriate community care.
- Discuss ways to use breastfeeding performance measures to improve outcomes, care equity and patient satisfaction.
