Dr Col represents CAWS on a newly established steering panel as part of the UK’s Advanced Clinical Practice collaboration with Health Education England, with regards to upskilling clinical practitioners and fitness professionals to create parity of rehabilitation services for people who are dealing with chronic illness and disease, and comorbidites. This will mean identifying and remedying skills gaps in clinical practice and the fitness industry in terms of readiness to treat/receive patients out of the acute phase, improvements in referral links across the sectors, and removing the ‘postcode lottery’ that exists in patient care and improve parity across the UK to deliver best support in all regions.
