VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) is a term used in the business world and now, appears to succinctly describe the world we and the families we serve have to navigate. As we continue to grapple with critical incidents (COVID-19 and civil uprising), we need to promote and enhance individual and community resiliency skills. In this session, team members at a local community hospital will share their collective approach to addressing the whole-person well-being needs of mothers, their families, and hospital caregivers. Examples of resiliency skills will be shared through stories of patient and caregiver experiences.
After the webinar, attendees will be able to:
1) Identify the common reactions to & impact of critical incidents or traumatic events.
2) Understand the key concepts and practices of the Community Resiliency Model and how to promote and enhance resiliency.
3) Describe examples of collaborative approaches to address the well-being needs of mothers and families in times of crisis.
4) Demonstrate application of resiliency skills.
