Things That Make My Heart Beat Faster: Artist Lecture with Donald Friedlich
Join us for an inspiring lecture with Donald Friedlich. A leading figure in contemporary jewelry, Friedlich received his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and served a term as President of the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG). He has lectured at conferences and universities and taught workshops all over the world. In 2016 he was the keynote speaker at the SNAG conference in Asheville, NC and was a Renwick Alliance Distinguished Artist speaker at the Smithsonian. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Corning Museum of Glass and many others.

Donald’s lecture is titled Things that Make My Heart Beat Faster. “I'll be speaking about what inspires my long career making production and one of a kind jewelry from a wide palette of materials. Professional practices will also be integrated into the talk. I promise we'll have some laughs along the way.”
